Chaman Ara Scholarship 2020: Scholarship Disbursement Held Successfully
Narsingdi, Bangladesh — March 04, 2021:
SpaandanB successfully completed the disbursement of scholarships under the Chaman Ara Scholarship 2020 program on March 4, 2021. A total of 166,000 Taka was distributed as scholarships to deserving students, with an additional 8,000 Taka allocated for refreshments, teacher allowances, transportation, and official reporting to the local UNO office.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the event saw full attendance, with all 56 selected students present along with the headmasters or representatives from the participating schools.
Scholarship Amount Details:
- Grade 6 and 7: Each student received Taka 2500 as a one-time scholarship.
- Grade 8 and 9: Each student received Taka 3000 as a one-time scholarship.
- Grade 10: Each student received Taka 4000 as a one-time scholarship.
Participating Schools:
- Adiabad Islamic High School and College
- Abdullapur High School
- Gabindapur High School
- Islampur High School
- Shirajnagar High School
Due to pandemic restrictions, the traditional scholarship selection exam could not be held. Instead, authorities from the six participating schools selected 2 students per class and a total of 10 students per school based on academic performance and need. One junior school was allowed to nominate six students due to its class structure (classes six to eight).
The scholarship disbursement was conducted smoothly, ensuring that the students received the support they need to continue their education during these challenging times. The presence of school representatives underscored the community’s commitment to education and the well-being of its students.
SpaandanB expressed gratitude to the donors and school authorities for their cooperation and pledged to continue supporting underprivileged students in their educational journey.
