Annual Report of HWCCNC and PATA 2020-21
Greetings from HWCCNC. The year 2020-21, marked by the global Covid-19 pandemic, brought challenges that affected many, including our organization. Despite these obstacles, HWCCNC endeavored to continue its regular programs, though some were temporarily halted.
Key Programs and Activities:
1.VGD Program 2019-20: This project, in collaboration with the Department of Women Affairs (DWA), trained 1,799 women across 13 Unions in Nasirnagar Upazila, Brahmanbaria district. Training was paused due to government orders during the pandemic but resumed from October to December.
2.Food & Milk Program: Initiated in October 2020 in Gokorno and Nurpur, this program supported 46 children and 7 pregnant mothers, extending the duration to one year. Pre-primary education introduced in 2019 showed positive impacts.
3.Blanket Distribution: On January 8, 150 blankets were distributed among HWCCNC members and children, with contributions from donors including Mr. Prokash Chokrobarty, USA, Mr. Shah Rezaul Hakim, and Mrs. Qazi Khadija Khwaja.
4.Credit & Savings Program: Since 2004, HWCCNC has provided small loans to village women, aiding their financial improvement and helping many rise above poverty.
5.Eid Gifts: Mr. Anwar Hossain Manik donated Eid dresses for children and mothers, for which the organization expressed gratitude.
6.PATA Clinic and Pathology Services: Continued operation with challenges during lockdowns. Dr. Ruhul Quddus donated funds for an Analyzer machine and the Milk & Food program.
7.Haridasi Death Anniversary: Observed on February 9, with both Hindu and Muslim communities participating in religious observances.
8.Deep Tube Well Installation: Facilitated by Hon’ble MP Mr. Badrudoza Mohammad Forhad Hossain Sangram to address water scarcity.
9.Annual General Meeting and Election: Held virtually on June 25, 2021, due to pandemic restrictions. Mrs. Marshia Rimi Roy stepped down as President, succeeded by Mrs. Tapashi Haque.
