Hosneara Atiq Memorial Scholarship

SpaandanB, a US based non-profit organization of expatriate Bangladeshis, is pleased to announce the Hosneara Atiq Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship has been established by Dr. Saiful Kabir in loving memory of his mother at Sir Salimullah Medical College in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

We are currently inviting applications from talented students who passed their HSC examinations in 2025 and are presently enrolled in the first year (academic session 2025-2026) of the MBBS program at Sir Salimullah Medical College.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Standing: Applicants must have a minimum total GPA of 8.50 (excluding the 4th subject) in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations in the Science group.
Enrollment: Must be a current first-year student at Sir Salimullah Medical College.
Required Documents

The following documents must be submitted along with the completed application form:

Proof of Enrollment: A photocopy of a certificate or attestation from the current educational institution, signed by the Head of the Institution, Department Head, Hall Super, or Provost.
Academic Transcripts: Attested photocopies of all previous mark sheets/transcripts.
Photographs: Two recently taken passport-size photographs, attested by a teacher from the current institution.
Personal Statement: A handwritten essay in Bengali (250–350 words) explaining why the applicant considers themselves eligible for this scholarship. This statement must include details regarding the applicant’s sources of income and specific expenditure requirements.
Extracurricular Certificates: Attested copies of certificates for involvement in extracurricular activities (e.g., debate, music, social work, etc.), if applicable.

Application Submission Instructions

Applications should be submitted on A4 size paper using the specific prescribed format.

Deadline: All applications must reach the office by Monday, May 25, 2026.

Submission Method: Applications can be sent via courier, post, or delivered directly to the office.

Language: Fields marked with an asterisk (*) must be filled in English; all other parts must be completed in Bengali.
