Dear Friend,

SpaandanB warmly invites you to an evening of inspiration and togetherness — a celebration of the lives we’ve touched, the journeys we’ve shared, and the future we’re building through your generous support.

Our Annual Fundraiser is the highlight of our year. It’s a chance for our community to come together, reflect on the impact we’ve made across Bangladesh, and look ahead to bold new initiatives that need your help to take flight. Throughout the evening, we’ll share powerful stories from our projects — real lives transformed through access to education, healthcare, and opportunity.

The night will come alive with performances from some of Bangladesh’s most celebrated talents. Beloved duo Chamok Hasan and Feroza Binte Omar Bonhi will take the stage with their signature blend of music and parodies. And the dynamic Anila Naz Chowdhury, renowned for her pop and rock hits and her classical foundation in Nazrul Sangeet, will bring her voice and energy to this special evening.

Tickets are available now, with Early Bird pricing through August 31: $50 for adults, $25 for children under 10, and free entry for children 2 and under. Starting September 1, ticket prices will be $60 for adults and $30 for children.

We encourage you to secure your seats early and consider making a donation to help us continue this vital work. Every ticket and every dollar make a real difference.

PerformerS

CHAMAK HASAN and BONHI

Chamok Hasan and Feroza Binte Omar (Bonhi) are a multi-talented husband-and-wife duo whose performances beautifully merge intellect, creativity, and heartfelt emotion.

Chamok is a PhD-trained electrical engineer, author, and beloved online educator who has inspired thousands through his Bengali books and math/science tutorials. He is known for transforming complex topics into enjoyable, story-driven experiences that spark curiosity and joy. Beyond academics, Chamok is also a gifted musician. He composed and performed songs for acclaimed Bengali films such as Baba Baby O and Fatafati, showcasing his talent as both a lyricist and vocalist.

Bonhi, his wife and creative partner, is a singer and lyricist with a soulful voice and a natural gift for musical expression. She co-writes many of their songs and often joins Chamok in live performances, where their chemistry and harmony bring an added emotional depth to the music.

Together, Chamok and Bonhi share a rare creative synergy. Their performances feel intimate and engaging — a fusion of storytelling, melody, and meaning that speaks to the heart. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, they are united by a shared vision: to spread joy, spark thought, and connect with audiences through the universal language of music and learning.

ANILA NAZ CHOWDHURY

Anila Naz Chowdhury is a prominent Bangladeshi singer whose voice has helped define a generation of modern Bengali music. Known for her soulful blend of pop, rock, and classical influences, Anila rose to fame through her powerful collaborations with acclaimed producer Fuad al Muqtadir. Together, they created some of the most beloved Bengali tracks of the 2000s, including the hit song “Ke Bashi Bajay Re.”

Her duet album Ekhon Ami, recorded with Sumon, became a chart-topping success across Bangladesh and India, with timeless songs like “Gaibona” and “Shopnogulo Tomar Moto” capturing the hearts of listeners.

Anila’s musical journey began as the lead vocalist for the band Kranti, and over the years, she has graced international stages—from New York and Toronto to Dhaka and Seattle—bringing both vocal strength and emotional depth to every performance.

Beyond music, Anila has a strong academic background. She earned her master’s degree in Computer Science from Tufts University and worked at Microsoft before returning to Bangladesh as a university lecturer. Her rich personal journey bridges technology, education, and the arts.

A trained vocalist in Nazrul Sangeet, a devoted mother, and a multi-talented performer, Anila continues to be a celebrated voice in the Bangladeshi music scene—an artist who combines passion, intellect, and cultural pride in everything she does.
